From overly frizzy tresses and chlorine-tinged color, when it comes to summer there are many steps needed to be taken to help repair your hair:

1. During this time it is best to bury your blow dryer with your winter clothes and embrace your natural texture in summer!

2. Find the right lightweight leave-in conditioner for your hair and use it post-wash only to your ends.

3. Chlorine is not your friend during summer that is why your hair needs the Fekkai Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo!

This is great for chlorine build up and a must for blondes (or your hair will turn green)!!

4. Avoid, over cleansing. After washing your hair make sure to apply your favorite frizz controlling product while hair are still damp.

5. Just how SPF is necessary for your skin, UV protectant spray is a must during summer!

The Soleil Collection by Kerastase is a great option!

I also love Phyto Plage Collection.

6. Drink plenty of water, juices, and coconut water to nourish your skin as well as the scalp. Keep yourself hydrated with fresh drinks and avoid coffee or tea!

Summer is closer than ever which means beach days, pool parties, lounging with friends is right around the corner!! It is time to get ready and be your best beautiful self this summer. It is important to remember your skin needs to breathe especially during the summer heat. That is why I always recommend to not use anything too heavy or creamy for summer. Instead take advantage of this time to help any congestion you may have with a deep-cleansing mud mask. Incorporating this to your skincare regimen twice a week will allow to help draw out impurities and detoxify the skin. One of my personal favorites and budget friendly is Freeman Feeling Beautiful Clay Mask, Avocado & Oatmeal.

This clay mask is a must-have since it is gentle but effective. It will act as a vacuum and soak up all the traces of dirt and grease! Make sure to follow up with a gentle moisturizer at night or sunblock during the day!!

Such a fun look at what's been "in vogue" and just how dramatic the style changes were throughout the years.

I just had to post this article I found on Beautylish about old school fragrances that so many of us grew up with!! I was just having the same chat with a friend and reminiscing about Love's Baby Soft (my brother's HS girlfriend wore it!), the original Chanel Egoiste (we all remember that commercial with the French girls opening and closing the shutters) and of course Electric Youth by the one and only Debbie Gibson. (and YES, I do realize I am totally dating myself here, LOL)
